Well I'm 23w2d pregnant today and had my 24wk check-up. I'm still gaining weight - too much weight if you ask me, but the Dr isn't concerned. My blood pressure was on the high end of normal, but again, the Dr isn't concerned. Baby's HR was 152bpm, which is perfect - he even kicked the doppler a couple times for us.
The bad news is that I'm measuring 2.5wks ahead. Baby was measuring right on track at my ultrasound 4wks ago, so I guess he either had a growth spurt or was laying funny today that threw the measurement off. But the Dr did warn me not to get my hopes up for a smaller baby this time around. I'm a bit frustrated with that, not because it means I might have to have a c-section again, that I don't care about - I'm just looking for a healthy baby in the end. But I know what it means to have a "big" baby. Colin was made out to be some sort of a spectacle on the labor & delivery floor when I had him because he was so big. All anyone focused on was his size. Yep, he was big, so what. I guess I don't really know what the fuss was about, it's not like he had a third eye or something crazy like that. He was perfectly healthy and I just don't see what the difference was if he weighed 8lbs or 11lbs. But then again, I'm the Mommy and of course everything about him was perfect in my eyes ;)
