Our lives are being turned upside down right now. Not necessarily in a bad way, there's just so much going on and it's hard to keep it all straight.
Last month, Scott was given notice that his department here in Michigan was closing down and transferring to Texas. He's been offered 3 different positions down there and has accepted one of them. So it looks like us Michiganders are heading south! The move is anticipated for late June/early July, depending on the house situation - meaning we need to sell our house ASAP. So as of this weekend, our house will officially be on the market. Considering we have an almost 2yr old little boy and I'm almost 32wks pregnant, there's a lot of stress involved with this.
With the house is being put on the market, we need to get the house ready for showings. The problem is that Scott is w0rking in Texas Monday through Friday's every week and only home on the weekend until April 6th (that's when he told them no more traveling since we'll be too close for baby #2's arrival). It's not easy working full-time, taking care of Colin, and being pregnant all alone. Scott feels bad about not being here to help out, but there's not much we can do about that, so we just make do. With all of the "fixing up the house" that we're doing (nothing drastic since it was a brand new build when we bought it 1.5yrs ago), we had to rearrange the computer desks. My inlaws did this for me while Scott's been out of town, so basically the computers have been moved but they're not hooked up - I don't have a clue when it comes to that stuff. Fortunately, my inlaws lent me their laptop to use in the meantime. The laptop doesn't have my picture program on it, so until I load it on there, no new pics :-(
In other news, our little man is growing big in my belly right now. He was already 5lbs at my ultrasound last week (avg is about 3lbs), so it looks like he's giving his big brother some competition in birth weight. The OB went ahead and scheduled my c-section for May 2nd, just 3 days after Colin turns 2! Although it's nice to have it scheduled with so much going on in our life right now, I'm still bummed I won't have a chance to go into labor. I'll get over it once this little guy's born, I'm sure. I'll obviously be busy taking care of my boys, plus I think I'll be too focused on the house and our big move to care about much of anything else.
The most incredible part of moving to Texas is that I will be able to stay at home with the kids. I've wanted to do that for so long, but we just couldn't afford it. But it looks like we'll be able to find a house cheaper down there, so we should be able to swing it. I cannot wait!!!!! Of course I've been a working Mom for almost 2yrs now, so there's a chance I could eat my words about staying at home, but I'm just excited for the chance to do what I've always wanted and see how it works out.
So basically that's our update in a nutshell. I'll try to keep updated on the move and hopefully get some new pics uploaded to share. Or maybe a video so you can all see Colin "in action" - he's quite the ham :-)

Scrunchy smile!
I'm finally in the home stretch with this pregnancy, I'm now 30wks along! That makes baby 75% baked :) I'm still feeling pretty good, although I'm getting huge now. I have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow since I'm already measuring 4wks ahead, so I'll get to see how big he is already. Sleeping is difficult, I'm constantly tossing and turning throughout the night. Other than that, smooth sailing for me!
I've finally gotten the camera out again and taken some recent pics of Colin. I'm starting to slack with the picture taking... oops! He's really into the "scrunchy smile" as we call it. The pics don't do it justice at all - it's way cuter in person ;) Apparently, Scott used to smile the exact same way at this age, so he does take after his Daddy with that!
Busted with Mommy's latest pregnancy craving - Cinnamon Toast Crunch!
And finally - here's his favorite spot to "chill" - yeah, he knows he's cool:
